Rain brings smiles
And wails for them
Who sow their dreams
Along the strands
Of the mighty male river.
He is a father so queer
Who gives and takes
The sprouts and fruits
Of his kids, so dear.
The rain makes him a beast
The soft strain he hummed
Is sunk so deep.
Now he roars a dirge so rude
For his kids, so good.
The bliss and the bane,
The mighty male river.
