Sunset glow how well I know
You’re warming rays upon my face
It was not always so
That I adored your glow
In youths and haste
It was a terrible waste
But as the autumns passed
And seasons rushed so fast
I prayed to ease the pace
I long for sunshine on my face
Each spring I wait
Behind the Iron Gate
To hear a robin’s song
And knew it won’t be long
Before I dance along the sandy shore
I feel the sunset glow
And wished it was forever so.
