Nature, Rain

The Storm

© Jason K. Werner

Storms tear apart the sky in an angry pursuit of destruction.

Mighty claps of thunder,
Follow Godly streaks of indignant,
Light at play.
Intermittent bouts of silence,
Save for the din of raindrops in the fray,
Demand awe.
As from west to east the rumbling marches,
Through the dark, lightning flaring,
As if the angry sky itself is slowly tearing.
