Summer Poems: 6/7
Nature, Summer

A Mid-Summer’s Evening

© Sara Madison

A calming piece about summer I wrote while sitting in the backyard.

The cool night breeze,
Rustles the tree leaves.
Crickets sing beside a creek,
That runs past the house.
A moth flutters beside me,
A stray cat stirs.
The sky is golden,
And the stars start to shine.
The air is warm,
An airplane soars past.
A wish is made,
That summer will last.
